English Language Classes in Harpenden
Payment
- First Conversation class is free (doesn't apply to Group, Exam or Private classes)
- A one time, non refundable Registration fee of £50 is payable by all before the first Levelled group class - includes grammar & spoken level check, admin, notebook and learning material.
- A one time, non refundable Registration fee of £25 is payable by all before the first Conversation class - includes spoken level check, admin and material each week.
- Students attending more than one class pay the Registration Fee only once - at the highest applicable rate.
- A group is 3+ students. Each group level class costs £20 and a minimum block of 5 lessons must be purchased (5 per Half Term = £100).
- Sometimes circumstances change or people leave the UK etc & if the group drops below 3 people on a permanent basis, students have the option to cancel or continue at a cost of: Semi-private (2 students) £25 each or private (1 person) £45.
- Each Conversation class costs £15 - drop in/weekly payment accepted. Minimum of 3 students required each session.
- Exam group classes cost £30 p/p p/h including ongoing assessment, specialised assignments and marking (the student will also be responsible for all exam fees).
- If you miss a class - one rollover class only allowed into the next session.

- Payment in cash, card or BACs .
- An invoice/ receipt can be issued for classes.
Lesson content
The Conversation class will be a fluid course that covers topics as requested by the students themselves. It will be planned according to the needs & wishes of the students and their host families week by week.
- I am hoping students will be happy to contribute topic ideas & suggestions from their own experience and I will be able to contact you via email to get this feedback
- The English levels will inevitably be mixed but hopefully in this kind of class setting it will work well as students are all new to England & will have different knowledge gaps
- There will not be a course book for this class but I will handout/email work sheets to be completed at home before or after the class
Lesson location
I try to find a central venue large enough to hold the conversation classes for up to 15 people.
- In a central Harpenden & reachable on foot
- I will try and minimise paper worksheets (by emailing material in advance)
- I will What's App the location to registered students a day before the class
Lesson etiquette
- Please arrive on time
- There will be a 24 hour cancellation policy - please let me know if you are unable to attend a lesson the day before
- Please limit your phone usage
- A pen and notebook will be needed for each class
